About Us
Day-to-day management is under the Kickapoo Reserve Management Board. A state-sanctioned Board, the majority of its members are local people, thereby assuring that board decisions represent the diverse interests of the people of the Kickapoo Valley. Management decisions affecting the Reserve are driven by an agreement developed jointly by the State of Wisconsin and the Ho-Chunk Nation. "The Reserve will be preserved in a natural state and developed only to the extent necessary to enhance outdoor recreational and educational opportunities." Further management guidelines and rules are described in the Master Plan and chapter KB1, Wisconsin Administrative Code, for the Reserve. 2020 Exhibit Upgrade Highlights |
