2025 Creative Communities
Creative Communities Canvas Project 

The Creative Communities Canvas Project is a community art project involving 300 artists of all ages and talents. Participants receive a 6-inch-by-6- inch art canvas to artistically interpret the following word as it pertains to nature:

       RESILIENT

Art canvases can be picked up at the KVR Visitor Center starting January 2, 2025. All canvases must be returned to the KVR Visitor Center by February 24, 2025 by 4:30pm.


Creative Communities Canvas Online Auction 
March 1, 2025 - March 23, 2025

Canvases will be available through online auction. Auction opens at 5pm CST on March 1, 2025, and closes on March 23, 2025, at 5pm CST. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the KVR with proceeds going to the KVR education & events programs. The canvases will be exhibited at the KVR Visitor Center Saturday, March 1 - Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Exhibit Grand Opening & Artist Reception

March 1, 2025 10 am - Noon

Make plans to attend the Grand Opening of the Creative Communities Canvas Project. Join us for light refreshments and brunch hors d'oeuvres at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Visitor Center. We will unveil the 2025 canvas project with all proceeds in support of the KVR Education Programs & Events. 

 Bidding stations will be set up and staffed to assist bidders with account set up. 

Online bidding opens at 5pm CST on March 1, 2025

Grand opening is free and open to the public.

Where can I get a blank canvas?
Blank canvases are available at the following locations:

How do I bid on a canvas?

Visit www.biddingowl.com (or click the yellow button to the left) and click on Featured Auctions.  Then in the search bar, type in the word Kickapoo, this will take you to the KVR Art Auction page.  Click on View All Items in the upper left corner of your screen and you will be able to view and bid on your favorites.  Note:  You will need to create an account to bid.  The site is secure, and you will not be asked for credit card information at the time of bidding.
