Identification

  • Small, dull colored flycatcher
  • Greyish olive above, lighter grayish below
  • Two light wingbars
  • Nearly identical to plumage of
         Willow Flycatcher
  • 5.75" (15 cm.)

Habitat

  • Shrubby lowland forest

Additional Information

  • Uncommon migrant and resident south,
         more common resident northern
         Wisconsin
  • Late spring migrant
  • Best identified by song: "fee--BEE--oh"
  • Singing male has been found on the 
         Reserve in recent summers
