  • Cigar shaped body, short tail

Habitat

  • Residential and commercial areas
  • Forests with large hollow trees

Additional Information

  • Common migrant and summer resident
  • Spends most of daytime in the air,
         foraging for insects
  • Roosts and nests in chimneys and
         hollow trees
  • Non-nesters and swifts on migration roost
         colonially in large chimneys
