Habitat
- Open areas, lakes, rivers for foraging
- Nesting habitat -- buildings, bridges, cliffs
Additional Information
- Common migrant, fairly common
summer resident - Colonial nester --multiple nests in one area
- Often build nests on the under side of
bridges and under barn eaves, also on natural cliff sites - Nests are made of mud and are nearly enclosed, with a small hole for
entrance and exit
