  • Medium-sized thrush
  • Brownish above
  • Light below with dark spots
  • Buffy face and eyering
  • 7" (18 cm.)

Habitat

  • Mixed coniferous and deciduous forest

Additional Information

  • Fairly common migrant
  • Population in decline
  • Wisconsin species of special concern
  • Distinctive song--flutelike, spiralling upward
  • Tends to forage on or near the ground
